Before embarking on your trip in Zimbabwe there are some key things you need to remember to make sure your trip is as enjoyable as possible.

Driving is on the left hand side of the road. Driving on the incorrect side of the road negates all insurance cover. Give way to traffic from the right at uncontrolled intersections.

At controlled intersections, motorists are required to yield to pedestrians crossing on a green light.

It is compulsory for the driver and front seat passenger to wear seat belts. Contravention of this regulation will incur a fine.

Clients must carry their rental agreement with them at all times to assist with identification at any Police road blocks.

Before traveling long distances after 6pm, ensure the vehicle has sufficient fuel to reach your destination as most service stations in outlying areas close between 6pm and 8am. Credit cards are generally not accepted as payment for fuel.

Please ensure that the vehicle is kept locked and secure at all times

• Keep all doors locked when driving
• Always park in a safe designated area
• Do not leave valuables in the vehicle, personal property is not covered by any of Europcar's insurances.
• Do not leave the keys visibly lying around, do not hand to Hall Porter, or leave keys at reception
• Do not hand keys to airline or airport staff when returning the vehicle
